The Petrified Forest is a great destination to host your wedding. Surrounded by the beautiful evergreen Ponderosa Pine Trees of the Black Hills – your Wedding on the hill overlooking the green Piedmont valley and Black Hills can be the perfect setting. Complete with a white gazebo that can be decorated to your taste, podium for minister, and built in pine benches facing the gazebo – with room for overflow chairs – it is the perfect layout. Pieces of beautiful Petrified Wood surround the entire area and serve as a memorable addition for your wedding guests. Bride can walk down the pine needle cover path to the gazebo as guests enjoy the natural beauty all around. After the ceremony you can have a catered outdoor reception OR a short 1 minute drive down the hill use the Elk Creek Resort Lodge on the same property – complete Bar, Meal / Event area, outdoor shaded decks, and even prep kitchen.
Events
Host your event outdoors in the Black Hills Petrified Forest. Area for sitting/speakers as well as open grass area surrounded by trees for booths, catering, tables, games, activities.
